Fix for what?  There are updates to the driver, yes, but it should work for
this machine as-is, but the intel driver should not be controlling the laptop,
the samsung-laptop driver should be, for the backlight.

if you boot with "acpi_video=vendor" on the kernel command line, does this fix
the issue?
