/boot/grub/menu.lst was empty (had a file size of zero).
I restored it, but the 2.6.38-rc2 kernel does not boot as it does not find the
root device/disk:
Refined TSC clocksource calibration: 2094.749 MHz.
Switching to clocksource tsc
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available partitions:
