Xorg log file from blank screen following resume.
Hello Stefan, I have now taken time to test this more thoroughly.
1. Use Configure Display to add external monitor positioned above LVDS. Disable
external monitor. Shut lid. On open lid there is a blank display. Ctrl-Alt-F1
and use 'shutdown' to close system. On system restart all is OK. I have not
tested to the side or below the LVDS. Is there a command I can use to restart
the X server from the command prompt? This will save me restarting the system
after a test.
2. Use Configure Display to do the same as above, but *before* disabling the
external monitor configure it to be a clone of LVDS, leave the Configure
Display dialog open. Shutting the lid, waiting, then opening the lid results in
an "unlock" prompt as usual. On unlocking the "Configure Display" dialog is in
the taskbar but I cannot access it. Sometimes I can get it to flash past my
eyes when flipping between the two desktops but cannot get it to a place where
it is accessible. I can start another Configure Display dialog and add the
external display again and disable as before but the orphan dialog remains.
Best wishes. John.
