http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619025 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619025#c0 Summary: /apps/nautilus/preferences/desktop_is_home_dir behavior always active Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Product Management Blocker: --- I'm seeing this on two machines, one which has been on FACTORY for a longer period, and one where I installed RC1 from scratch yesterday: My homedir appears on the desktop even though /apps/nautilus/preferences/desktop_is_home_dir is off. Toggling to on and back to off does not make a difference, nor does creating a new ~/Desktop directory -- the original one I had removed at one point, but in any case my expectation is that with this option set to false, either ~/Desktop will be shown, or if that does not exist, the desktop will remain empty. Right now ~/Desktop does exist, the option is set to false, and still I do find my homedir on the desktop. Playing a bit further, I see that /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop allows me to remove all items. Still, which does desktop_is_home_dir not work as described? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
