http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566326 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566326#c0 Summary: Gedit¡s search finds erratically. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: publio.escipion.el.africano@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.5 After https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558250#c6 I installed Gnome. I had to edit a simple text and Gedit was ran. I cannot tell you much but that I did various searches into the document (2000 lines long, aprox.) and some times Gedit didnot retrieved me my search, so I had to close and reopen the search dialog, change parameters such as near or approximative match (coincidencia aproximada, more or less in Spanish) to get the finding. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. open the search dialog and introduce a word you certainly know that it is there. 2. search: it might retrieve nothing, or it might find the word indeed. 3. if nothing is retrieved, try changing options such as backward, near or approximative match (coincidencia aproximada, more or less in Spanish) to get the finding. Actual Results: See above. Expected Results: That it actually finds. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
