If aplay with -vv -Dplughw still doesn't work, it's not about PA, then (assume
the symptom that you see VU meter but just silence).
Any chance to try an older kernel (no matter which one, just a working kernel
with the working sound output), and get alsa-info.sh on that?
The fix for kernel warning messages is just for cx5047 test mode. It issued
wrong verbs that don't match with the codec design. Thus the kernel spewed
warnings. It has basically nothing to do with the normal mode.
