As mentioned in Bug 553352 checking disable_user_list in Gconf Editor
apps/gdm/simple_greeter should disable the listing of users on log in.

Alas it doesn't work at all, nothing changes.

Likewise checking banner_message_enable and entering text into
banner_message_text doesn't achieve anything either.
