I never suggested that the icons had anything to do with accessibility.
I indicated that of the applications whose associated icons had problems, root
could access some of the applications from root's Favorites menu, whereas an
ordinary User could not access the applications from the User's Favorites menu.
The issues presented in this ticket were originally part of a larger ticket for
M5 where the info. was presented somewhat differently. There were several
issues presented in one ticket and I was just recently asked to write separate
tickets. No one indicated the issues were resolved. Naturally the expectation
was the issues were not resolved, otherwise why have a new ticket created now?
Sorry but there does appear to be a missing piece of info. After I installed
M5, root had a Favorites menu with the same incorrect icons for Amarok and
Digikam. An ordinary User clicking within the Favorites menu trying to launch
Amarok or Digikam was unsuccessful, whereas root doing the same thing from
root's Favorites menu was successful at launching the applications. root's
HOME dir is on "/root", which was on the root partition that was completely
reformatted with a new install. So it would seem that "/root" would be built
by a new install. That made it seem as though it was not an update problem.
