http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=529489 Summary: Printing was working in Milestone 3, stopped in 4 and 5 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: pilotgi@gmail.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=311464) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=311464) Screenshot of YaST printer config page User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090714 SUSE/3.5.1-2.3 Firefox/3.5.1 My brother laser printer was working in Milestone 3 but now doesn't print after a clean install of Milestone 5. I believe the upgrade to Milestone 4 is when it stopped working. I'm using the rpm and the cupswrapper from the Brother website for this printer HL-5370DW. The printer is recognized (after the driver is installed) and configured with YaST. Clicking on the 'print test page' results in the fans in the printer spooling up and the led momentarily switching to yellow (which is what it does when it's printing) and then back to green. No page is printed and there is nothing in the print queue. Trying to print from the cups page (localhost:631) yields the same result. Cups lists the printer and it's driver and the state is idle, accepting jobs. I'm attaching a screenshot of the YaST configuration page because I have question. It lists the current driver and then there's three other drivers under 'Select a Driver.' If I click on one of those other drivers and click ok, nothing changes. Shouldn't the driver change when one of these is selected? This printer is working fine in 11.1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
