[Bug 500382] zypper and yast2 have different opinions about what needs updating

it seems that "zypper -r up" does not look at all available packages either.
"zypper patch" sees the broken banshee patch and shows the same conflicts as
yast2.
but that's actually outside the scope of this bug...
what the bug is about is that behaviour described in the initial report which
is not about patches but about regular newer packages...
