--- Comment #28 from Tor Lillqvist 2008-12-11 06:48:54 MST ---
Just some experience after building OOo 3.0 from the ooo-build branch, and
running bin/ooinstall -l /opt/OOo, and sourcing /opt/OOo/program/ooenv, with a
SMB share (\\192.168.19.1\tmp in my case) "mounted" with gvfs-mount, and with
no OpenOffice_org packages installed:
This works:
1) Start soffice, File:Open, browse the "tmp on 192.168.19.1", select an .odt
file. it opens correctly.
This doesn't work:
2) Drag an .odt or .ods file from a Nautilus window browsing the same "tmp on
192.168.19.1" and dropping it onto an soffice window. OOo shows an error dialog
"Nonexistent file", very useful.
3) Trying to open an .ods file in the same way as in 1). I get the extremely
unfriendly "Filter Selection" dialog. If I select ODF Spreadsheet in that, it
works.
4) (Double-clicking ODF files in Nautilus. This is not surprising, of course,
and not a problem in this case, as I removed all the OpenOffice_org* packages
and only have the self-built ooinstall'ed one with no desktop integration.)
