After installing the OpenOfficeOrg-gnome package, I indeed CAN double click an ODS file and it open oo. BUT: it seems not to be able to get the filetype (I clicked and ODS and had to select in the first dialog that it's a spreadsheet... pretty weird). This doesn't work: 2) Drag an .odt or .ods file from a Nautilus window browsing the same "tmp on 192.168.19.1" and dropping it onto an soffice window. OOo shows an error dialog "Nonexistent file", very useful. 3) Trying to open an .ods file in the same way as in 1). I get the extremely unfriendly "Filter Selection" dialog. If I select ODF Spreadsheet in that, it works. 4) (Double-clicking ODF files in Nautilus. At least, when starting soffice.bin like: soffice.bin ~/.gvfs/tmp\ on\ 192.168.19.1/aaa.ods it managed to open the file without problems (which isn't surprising as such), while if I use File:Open and navigate to the "tmp on 192.168.19.1" folder and try to open aaa.ods, I get the filter selection dialog.
