https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=416226 Summary: Install does not work if all software updates are deletes Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: support@microtechniques.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer After installing ldap on one of our systems, the system would freeze during the boot process. After trying a number of repair options, I resorted to re-running the installation process selecting to update an installed system, installed programs only, and then selected the ldap applications for removal. When I ran the update, the process finished without running any of the software add/remove functions - leaving the system in exactly the same state as before the re-install. The only way that I could get the removal to actually work was to include the forced update of at least one other application. The applications being removed were krb5-plugin-kdb-ldap pam_ldap pam_krb5 nss_ldap -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
