Here is the /boot/grub/device.map file:
ns1:~/boot/grub # more device.map
(hd0) /dev/sda
As for your opensuse 10.2 comment, this happens on both opensuse 10.{1|2|3} as
well as SLES sp1 upgrading to sp2. The files that I have been providing have
been from the SLES side of things. Submitting a bug through the Novell page
goes into a black hole. I still haven't gotten a response back from them on
that bug report based on my original ticket.
We have also been able to run into grub issues when putting a DVD into an
opensuse 10.X box and attempting to go through an update installation. So,
upgrading to opensuse 11 I don't think will resolve this issue. Its not 100%
consistent which is the most annoying part of this bug.
Is there something that I should be looking at in the perl-Bootloader?
