I have been conducting additional tests. The lock seems to relate to situations
that involve a high amount of USB 2 activity. I can move around the files of
the Elements external HDD drive fine over USB, and my other USB devices work
fine too. The crash seems to only occur when I am copying files where the drive
is sending alot of data per second while doing things with another USB device
like my mouse. Interestingly it wont crash if I just let the USB external HDD
copy and dont touch the mouse at all while copying is occuring. The crash
involves a combination of high activity on an external HDD and then using a USB
mouse at the same time.
