NM now has support for multiple devices being active at the same time but there
is no UI for controlling this behavior yet.  Having multiple devices active by
default can cause confusion for the user.

For example, I was connected to my wireless network and plugged in to my wired
network so that I could transfer some large files.  The transfer didn't get any
faster, though, because it was routing over wireless anyway.

Until there is UI to control the behavior the default should be to only connect
through one device.
