https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=338990 Summary: KDE session does not stop audio programs correctly on logout Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: chris@chrigl.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other If you end your current KDE session during an audio program (e.g. kaffeine or amarok) is running and playing sounds, the session manager does not shutdown this program correctly. Kaffeine and Amarok leave a locked semaphore on the sound device. However, it's not possible to play any sounds as an other user after this happens, till you delete the semaphore, or even reload the sound modules. Steps to recreate: 1. Login as user1 2. Login to a parallel session as user2 3. Start kaffeine as user2 4. Logout user2 If you now try to play any sounds as user1, the sound program hangs and waits for this semaphore. Actual Result: kaffeine is stopped, but a semaphore is left. In my case the users called chris and anke, 3112962 is the blocking semaphore -- ----- Semaphorenfelder ----- Schlüssel SemID Besitzer Rechte nsems 0x4d1380f7 688128 chris 600 8 0x0056a4d5 3112962 anke 660 1 -- -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
