https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=332825 Summary: Product Creator App dies Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium AssignedTo: cthiel@novell.com ReportedBy: rccj@ricreig.com QAContact: coolo@novell.com Found By: Other Created an attachment (id=177551) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=177551) Log showing failure While attempting to create a plain vanilla product iso using Yast Product Creator, while 'checking dependencies' (forever), the screen suddenly cleared with no error message, the memory and cpu were released and it was as if I had gone to great trouble to abort the program, which I had not, I was in the kitchen getting a soda. Attached is the Yast log file which suggests it received a signal from something, but it wasn't from me. I was running the newest kernel and the newest update of Kiwi 10/10/07 about 8pm download time. The machine has 3G of ram and 1Tb of disk space with over 800g free so it neither ran out of memory or disk space. No ISO was produce and no evidence of tmp files. For about 45 min, cpu usage was about 50% (on a AMD dual core 5000+) If there was an error message or popup, it was not on the screen when I returned from the kitchen. I had selected a basic install with KDE and only 2 apps, 'mc' and 'vlc' and had selected appropriate repos. These apps run flawlessly on my installation and should not have had any dependency issues. Just before I had left, no swap space had been used according to the cpu monitor app running in the taskbar. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
