Sorry, i wasn't familiar with the fact bluez-gnome wizard wasn't released (in
time) upstream.
There is the possibility to connect a bluetooth input device with a one-liner
in the console. But this is not that user friendly - it's "just" a dbus-send
call, but at least you don't have to get root like with hidd.
Not quite sure if it's possible to update bluez-gnome now .. maybe we should
just hint to the GNOME:Community repository.
kinputwizard would be also a solution - since you need this only to run once to
setup the input device. It's just sending the required dbus messages - after
that you can still remove the kdebluetooth package .. the input device will
still work.
It's not my decision to update bluez-gnome ...
