Could you add the line
lsmod > /tmp/lsmod-earlyxdm
in /etc/init.d/earlyxdm right before
exec /etc/init.d/xdm ${1+"$@"}
and attach /tmp/lsmod-earlyxdm? With haldaemon init script active.
