https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=273098 Summary: Update to kernel 2.6.18.8.0-3 makes shared libraries unaccessible Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: edwin@cyclades-info.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I have tried it twice now, but the latest kernel update makes that my laptop won't boot correctly anymore. During boot, it complains that the shared libraries are not accessible, thus failing fsck and going into runlevel 1. I went back to the kernel on DVD, and had zen-updater install all the updates again. So, now for the 2nd time, it won't boot to a higher runlevel. I cannot attach any logfiles, since I have no network. ldconfig -p shows all the libraries. The / partition is mounted. Using opensuse 10.2 on a Toshiba Satellite Pro M70. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
