What kind of problems do you have with openSUSE 10.2 NTFS resize?
Actually, it was mostly openSUSE 10.1, as I am afraid to use 10.2 in industrial situations. The partitition resizing during the installation fails, saying that NTFS is not clean, and that you need to run chkdsk /f The computers were all new, mainly Dell or HP laptops, Windows was XP home or professional. Windows was shutdown properly, boots properly, and chkdsk /f does not help. It looked to me as if MS specifically changed something in NTFS in order to confuse partition resizer and make our life miserable. Sorry I can not provide more details, since we must usually install the system to the customer in short time, on site, and there is no room for experiments or testing. If the partition can't be resized, it is wiped out on the spot, followed by a loss of several hours to reinstall Windows (and restore dual boot). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
