When I get to this point the install freezes... by going to the root shell I have found that: the process "Modprobe Parport_PC" seems to be the culprit -- it takes up 99% of the cpu and refuses to be killed. I cannot install openSuSE 10.2 because of this. Also, I cannot run Hwinfo because of this.
