Holger I'm really sorry but I think we cannot fix this. The Phillips
display works best using the timings it provides in the DDC record.
The display has a very small range where it operates correctly in
1680x1050 (that's the reason why I said it's crapware)

The i810 driver requires the BIOS to be able to display this resolution 
but the BIOS decide for the timings as well and this timings doesn't
correspond with the ones the display needs. The result is what you have
seen (because i810 requires the bios I said it's crap) 

I'm really sorry but combining both is always a poor story :(
