https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=206406 ------- Comment #7 from jr77@pwi.net 2006-10-11 16:08 MST ------- Now you are assuming I know more than I do. I guess this is only fair as it seems I have left out some pertinent information for you. My system is x86_64. I did not know to look in this ftp directory because YOU does not mention that that is where the mirror is getting the patches. It also does not mention the names of the files being downloaded to accomplish the update. I could not find this information in any of the available documentation about YOU. I would also like to know where and on what filesystem YOU stores the downloaded rpm files before the patch occurs. Again, this is information I could not find in any available documentation about YOU. Oh the joys of making the update process invisible to the end user! When I go to the directory you mention above I find literally dozens of Open Office related rpm files. I do know from YOU that my currently installed version of OO is 1.9.125-5 and that it is attempting to update my OO to version 2.0.0-1.4. It would seem to me that this eliminates about half of the rpm files since they seem to deal with version 2.0.0-1.2. But for all that I know the process of updating may actually update first to version 2.0.0-1.2 and then from that update to 2.0.0-1.4. Bottom line is I do not know the inner workings of YOU. I cannot tell what combination of rpm files make up the attempted update. Even if I did I do not know in what order they would have to be applied to accomplish the update. So I cannot determine what the proper size of the update should have been. Some of the files are not too terribly big and it might be that, if I knew the procedure, I could download the needed files and perform the update myself outside of YOU. I do not know what information you need to track down this bug. At this point, actually, from your first comment, it seems that you are not that interested in tracking down this problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
