In the meantime I looked at KDE SUSEgreeter, and I'm not sure that there will be any solution in so short time, besides modified background.png . The last problem I found out yesterday is that http links are dark blue, most likely inherited from KDE and, that the Qt settings that are much more acceptable even as default values are ignored. In other words without help of someone that can fix SUSEgreeter binary, we will have to use background that has a good contrast to dark blue links. Another problem is that my changes to make text readable with dark background include files that belong to another package, in another repo, which makes a game more interesting. Principles are the same, just more work to get it published. In other words, you can experiment by changing /usr/share/kde4/apps/SUSEgreeter/backgound.png with all other files in tact. That is the only file that belongs to branding, all other are part of kdebase4-workspace-branding-openSUSE. Size of image is 800x600 px, as that is fixed size of greeter. To be on a safe side the better option is to use parts of branding.svg in github repo, and change them to your liking. I still don't understand what I see when I open that .svg. It is most likely to satisfy some script that wants to resize .svg to 800x600 .png. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
