Hey guys,
i would like to have opinions on the following:
Do we need imprints for web stuff hosted for *.opensuse.org? Especially if the hosted stuff is in German.
We probably do need imprints. The domain opensuse.org is owned by Novell Inc., Provo. Nevertheless, we offer contents for a german audience, so german law could apply.
A trivial implementation of a sufficient 'Impressum' could be a link to
http://www.novell.com/de-de/company/legal/
I guess its not needed as the opensuse.org domain is controlled by Novell and Imprints are not needed in the US (and AFAIK the obligation to have one is even considered violating the constitution). But I wanted to see if some of you might have another opinion on this :)
Nice logic, but when you do business in Germany, german law might apply. Christopher, Ciaran?
