[opensuse] KDE 4.2.2 in OS 11.1 factory repository
All, I just saw a msg on the factory list the the 11.1 KDE factory repository has been updated to 4.2.2. I'm upgrading from 4.2.1 to it now. I assume it is not well tested. (ie. factory). My upgrade is over a GB of data, so it is a big pull if you want to upgrade. Just realized, I have the debuginfo libs installed. There huge, so others should see a much smaller download. I upgraded the day after it came out. Seems to run quite well. There have been a lot of changes in the repo lately. -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

There are two known regressions. ALT+F1 as global shortcut does not work for everybody and the menu does not steal focus, i.e. you cannot start typing right away after the menu (kickoff) popped-up, but have to click into the search field first. Found more... if the Kickoff menu is open, it does not close after launching an app. If the New Device applet is open, you cannot start Kicker until you explicitly close the New Device manager applet. Works here. kickoff opened with click.

That's true. And even more, if you open the device notifier, then click on the kickoff icon it does not open. Now you click on the notifier icon to close it and after that on the kickoff icon, which does not react until you click a second time. Maybe it thinks it's already open. Yes, it opens fine.. but once it's open, it doesn't always close again (after launching an app) unless you click on Geeko again. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It always closes here, I only meant the "click" because the bug might depend on opening it via shortcut. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
