According to http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html the ATI linux driver doesn't support the HD 3850. That might change with the next release. And there is another problem: AFAIK there is no media player for linux which can handle the AACS DRM used by Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Buy Nvidia, ATI support for Linux is terrible compared to Nvidia. I have multiple machines with both ATI and Nvidia. I'll would not buy another ATI.
I just purchased an Nvidia 8600GT and set up was a breeze. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
