Apache directory authornize problem
Hi all: I got a problem with Apache .htaccess and .htpasswd in the SuSE 7.2 version. Did that anyone met this ? I hope any one can help me ASAP. My situation is, I have a file .htaccess contain in the /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/tool directory, and a file .htpasswd in the same place, the .htaccess file like below: AuthName "TEST" AuthUserFile /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/tool/.htpasswd AuthType Basic require valid-user And generate the password by htpasswd command, which generated the password like this, rex:h.2jRwYbzmRjU And when I access the web page, the authority window pop up, and I enter the ID and password, but I always got a fail error message. Check the log, that display [Wed Aug 22 13:24:45 2001] [error] [client 172.16.1.2] rex: not a valid FDN: /tool/index.html I am sure that SuSE 7.1 is no problem with the same setting files. But the new installation of SuSE 7.2 got this error. Regards, Rex
