Hi.. Could anyone tell me which package has libcurses.a in..I need it for the LFS setup -- Regards Ted Wager SuSE Linux 7.3
It's in termcap.rpm If you have the CD/DVD you can easily find files you're searching for by doing zgrep filename /mountpoint/ARCHIVES.gz regards Anders On Sunday 25 November 2001 19:59, Ted Wager wrote:

andjoh@samantha:~> zgrep libcurses.a /dvd/ARCHIVES.gz ./suse/a2/termcap.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x root root 82196 Sep 20 06:13 /usr/lib/curses/libcurses.a andjoh@samantha:~> zgrep termcap.rpm /dvd/ARCHIVES.gz |wc 61 424 5384 This is from the 7.3 DVD. I don't have the CDs at hand right now. It could theoretically be different on those, I suppose. On Sunday 25 November 2001 20:53, Ted Wager wrote:

Thanks for the reply..I do not have the DVD but have the three cd set And this is the result linux:/home/twager # zgrep libcurses.a /media/cdrom/ARCHIVES.gz linux:/home/twager # Neither do I have a /usr/lib/curses directory, but the libncurses resides in /usr/lib..I suppose I will have to create a symlink from libncurses... -- Regards Ted Wager SuSE Linux 7.3
