[opensuse] Update fron internet
Hi all, I have recently reinstalled OpenSuSE from its DVD. Now when I want to add or remove packages, it asks me to use DVD again. How can I change settings so it will use internet instead? Thanks, D. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Go to Yast2->Installation Sources, and add official and other sources (pacman is my favourite unofficial one). These links might help: http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Repositories http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_YaST_Package_Repositories Prajjwal On Thu, 2007-04-26 at 11:46 +0200, Danesh Daroui wrote:

Thanks. I added a source (packman) to YaST sources under URL option and it works fine but it seems that it is not a complete source. For example some packages like g++ can not be found at this source. Am I doing something wrong or should I add other sources too? D. Prajjwal Devkota wrote:

I am not sure if you can find g++ in the official repositories, but you might want to check if you haven't done so already. Add both the oss and non-oss ones (g++ should be oss I guess). Prajjwal On Thu, 2007-04-26 at 12:26 +0200, Danesh Daroui wrote:

Yes, you need to add at least two repositories. I use the following locations ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/opensuse/distribution/10.2/repo/oss ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/opensuse/distribution/10.2/repo/non-oss Several other mirrors are available. Francesco Danesh Daroui wrote:
