Re: [SLE] I cannot receive any mail
I use the local to retreive my emails. The problem is when i have my pc shutted down i always loose my emails. Any ideas about that? PS I use the Evolution to manage the emails. Óôßò Mon, 6 Oct 2003 01:22:02 +0200 (CEST) "Carlos E. R." Ýãñáøå:
Er... you said you were using the program fetchmail to fetch your mail:
I used the fetchmail program to fetch my emails as below :
Thus, you are retrieving email from a remote account, using pop3, imap, or whatever protocol that remote server requires.
If that is incorrect, I think you did not make your self clear enough in the first place :-)
And... please respond to the list :-)

I don't use a POP protocol as you can sense, thus i cannot use the fetchmail.

Post the fetchmailrc file you are using, with passwords edited,
of course.

I'm sorry, but I can not understand what you are talking about. One day you say you are using 'Pine'. Today, you are using 'evolution'. And 'local', whatever that is... another day, you were using 'fetchmail'. Another day you say to me you are not using POP. I am utterly lost :-( Please, describe carefully, and in some detail, all the software you are using to get/send your mail, and how it is configured. Whether you have a remote account (pop, imap, or whatever) or not, and whether you have a permanent network connection, and a domain name, and if your system is 24*7 hours up and running. And also, what is you want to achieve. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
