Re: [SLE] Slightly OT: info on hardware features
Try... http://bxboards.com <-- very good regardless of the now old name http://www.asus.com.tw <-- Good Motherboards http://www.abit.com.tw <-- Popular Motherboards http://www.overclockers.com <-- Dangerous unless you want to live on the edge! Bruce.
Can anyone recommend a good Internet site for understanding the choices among different variants of current hardware? Examples:
Motherboards: the choice among Slot A, Socket A, Socket 7, Slot 1, etc.?
Disk access: what is ATA66 all about? How about other forms of disk access?
Memory: variations among memory types with the same capacity, e.g., 64M?
USB: what's involved in retrofitting it to an existing machine? Is it worth doing?
Thanks in advance --
