[opensuse] New OpenOffice.org releases vs. SUSE 10.0/9.1
Hi, recently my wife asked for a new(er) OpenOffice.org and when instal- ling, I realized quickly that neither the 2.4.x, nor the 3.x series work on her openSUSE 10.0 desktop. I downloaded the stuff again, did install from this newly downloaded .rpm collection directly from the official OOorg distribution site and the result was the same. No error messages visible, nothing printed into the konsole, simply doesn't work. Finally I also tried the same software on my SUSE 9.1 Pro, still no fruits. Any idea please, what to check and how to figure out, why OOorg in its latest releases doesn't work here? Maybe there is someone running these new versions and giving me some hints... Both 9.1 and 10.0 are completely unsupported, no wonder why it does not work, install version 11.1 and try again. -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R. unsupported, yet it is curious why it wouldn't work. What would the OS version - aside from checking for it - have anything to do with the working or not working of an app? -- kai www.perfectreign.com | www.ecmplace.com www.twitter.com/PerfectReign -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
