How are mantel's kernel's rpms built? Is there an .srpm somewhere that I'm missing, or is it made by hand with an in-house spec file? I've seen mention of "make rpm", is that how it's done? ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com

Those are unofficial kernels, so they don't come out of the build system afaik.

No just....
I've seen mention of "make rpm", is that how it's done?
By typing 'make rpm' :) The target is fairly self-explanatory: rpm: clean spec find . \( -size 0 -o -name .depend -o -name .hdepend \) -type f -print | xarg set -e; \ cd $(TOPDIR)/.. ; \ ln -sf $(TOPDIR) $(KERNELPATH) ; \ tar -cvz --exclude CVS -f $(KERNELPATH).tar.gz $(KERNELPATH)/. ; \ rm $(KERNELPATH) ; \ cd $(TOPDIR) ; \ . scripts/mkversion > .version ; \ rpm -ta $(TOPDIR)/../$(KERNELPATH).tar.gz ; \ rm $(TOPDIR)/../$(KERNELPATH).tar.gz -- -ckm
