hosts.deny & hosts.allow (permiting telnet only from inside)
I didnt find a reference an editing both hosts.deny and hosts.allow to permit only machines from my intranet to access telnet in my server... what should I add where? Thanks, Raul
assuming local intranet is 10.1.1.0-255 add this /etc/hosts.allow in.telnetd: 10.1.1. : ALLOW and in /etc/hosts.deny ALL:ALL then do IPID=`cat /var/run/inetd.pid` kill -HUP $IPID On Tue, 11 Dec 2001, [iso-8859-1] Ral Gutirrez Segals wrote:
