[opensuse] Cannot type text in Libreoffice
Using the rpms from the repository or 11.4 DVD I am unable to enter text in any Libreoffice app. I can cut and paste text though. This is a fresh install of 11.4, but also had the issue in 11.3. I was able to work around it in 11.3 by downloading and installing rpms from the LO site. I'm at my wits ends here. Can anyone help? Thanks, James -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

After several fails and restarts LO has a complete requester, and is able to shut down, without destroying the desktop.. (i have always used Oo in the past..) Writing is possible here... It has taken over the settings (fonts and fontsize from the last document i wrote..) from my Oo writer, maybe that is why it went wrong at start, but i donot know for sure.. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (M9.) No, but if you've had seen how my screen looked like, you would have probably not have thought about that. Beside that: SysRq does not exist on my keyboard, this is a desktop. But it was funny to see the screen getting all garbled up..lol.. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (M9.) (Now or never...) Yes, weird screens happen. But I'll never forget "to reisub" first.

Well, Alt+Print Screen will do, unless you have a really crippled keyboard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_request http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key http://fosswire.com/post/2007/09/fix-a-frozen-system-with-the-magic-sysrq-ke... -- Harrie Baken | Tekstbureau TekstBaken Copy-editing - proofreading - seo http://www.tekstbaken.nl/ | harriebaken@linux.com IRCNet #TekstBaken | Skype: harricot Registered Linux user #366560 | openSUSE 11.3 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

(to tell you the truth: i did not know about these commands...;-) Are they to use when you can't see what you're doing, and than they result in soft reset? -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (M9.) All the keyboards I have seen have SysRq or SysReq on the Print Screen key. I don't know what control function you need to access it--shift, or ctrl, or alt, or what. --doug-- Blessed are the peacemakers...for they shall be shot at from both sides. --A. M. The bug is fixed in the LibreOffice:Stable repositories: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/ We are going to provide an official maintenance update for openSUSE-11.4.
