[opensuse] Huawei E1550 and Linux?
Does anyone know if kernel 2.4 has support for the Huawei E1550 USB mobile internet dongle? Or what steps would be needed to make it work.. /Anders. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

2.4? Seems unlikely. I am still trying to get it to work with 2.6! Is this with Comviq? Have you consulted http://linuxwiki.se/index.php/Mobilt_bredband ? I have a thread about that in progress. I am running 11.2 and 11.3 and I get so very close. It dials (with wvdial), and I get an address and a route. But I cannot make a packet travel out over it. I am trying some recent suggestions, but none have advanced my status. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O. I haven't bought the thing yet, and yes, it'll be the Comviq operator package. Have you checked out the recommended app from Tele2? http://193.12.60.17/public/LINUX/LINUX_install.zip /Anders. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No I have not. But I will this evening. I see that it has binary drivers for 11.1. And a number of udev rules. I guess I will see what it wants to do and then try an install. With luck the driver is just an older version of the one with 11.2/11.3. Thanks for the pointer. What is frustrating is that it is so close without this package. The thing is on. It is communicating. I am sure I have missed a configuration option. Maybe MobilePartner will help. I will let you know what I find this evening. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
