Hello everyone, I'm still experimenting with SUSE 10. I really like it. I've jumped from SUSE 9. Of course, I first read the release-notes for 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and 10 to see what I'm against to :) I noticed a regular user won't be able to mount a cd-rom. Ok, I then -as root- modified /etc/fstab in order to add the "user" directive in the corresponding line. I then went back to my regular user and I mounted the cd. Everything went fine. I also liked the fact that something (don't know exactly what process) created a file in /media with the name identically as the CD volume label. It's a symlink to /media/cdrecorder. That's pretty pretty cool. My question is: When I went to unmount the drive (as regular user) I couldn't. I got a strange message which I had never seen: mount: it seems /media/cdrecorder is mounted multiple times:x It turns out that the only way to unmount the drive was switching to root. Any ideas? I used to think that by having the "user" directive on fstab was enough (enough for mounting and unmount as reg user). Thanks, Jorge
