I tried to run Xen on my 10.3 opensuse 64 bit version. I have an nvidia 7600 with the vendor drivers. It seemed that the X11 windows did not work. Are there any suggestions to make this work? -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No intending to hijack the thread, But you were able to create and/or start an DOM-U with 64-bit version of 10.3 ????? With the 64-bit i get python errors, while no problems with 32-bit. If you're trying to run the Xen kernel with the proprietary drivers then you may find it somewhat difficult. This web page _might_ help: http://en.opensuse.org/Use_Nvidia_driver_with_Xen I don't have a workstation set up for Xen with an nVidia chipset but I know colleagues have found it 'difficult' to get this to work, and in the end accepted that only Intel chipsets work with 3d in Xen effectively. The changes made to the Xen kernel make it a lot more difficult to get the proprietary kernel modules from nVidia and ATI to work against it. My suggestion is to go back to using the in-kernel nv driver. Jon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
