[opensuse] slow direct XDMCP 11.0 -> 11.1, locks 11.0 on logout
Listmates: After full updates to 11.1 I was using a direct XDMCP connection to the 11.1 box from my 11.0 laptop via wireless over my local lan. 11.0 to 11.0 connections work fine and fast and exit properly. The 11.0 -> 11.1 connection is markedly slower and on exit it locked my laptop hard. (ctrl+alt+bkspace and F7 and F8 ineffective) Any ideas what to check? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. You might want to check Bugzilla https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461820, where I reported the same thing. I have to go back and update it, when I get a few moments. I've been very busy the past couple of weeks. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Amen, One other notable symptom is when I try and exit, my numlock key light comes on as part of the lockup. Don't know if that helps, but it was something I noticed. I look at the bug report and add my comments. Thanks James! -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I didn't notice the num lock key. I'll have to check further when I get some more time. Perhaps this weekend. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Forgot to mention, for me it happens when I try to connect 11.0 > 11.1, not exit. I can reproduce this with every combination of computers I've tried. Tjhere's ot one combination that does not experience the problem. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
