Does anyone know of an ACT! like program for Linux? Thanks!! Tom Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
This is something I have been trying to find for 2 years. Right now, I am running Win4Lin with W98 and run ACT! on it. If someone could come up with an equivalent program, I would pay $300.00 a copy for it. It is worth it. Unfortunately, standard address books and such don't come near to cutting it. I have over 2600 contacts to keep track of, and being able to have at a clock all information dealing with any faxes, letters, phone calls, etc., it has become too important NOT to have. I have gotten to the point of frustration that I am considering learning MySQL or some othe rdatabase manager to design something to this end. (Not easy for a non-programming 45 year old fart!) If anyone knows anything that will come close, let us know. An Outlook equivalent is not adequate. NOTHICE: RANT OVER! Harry G On Wednesday February 13 2002 12:10 pm, Tom Nielsen wrote:

I don't know if it will do enough of what you want but I got staroffice events to integrate very seamlessly with my palm. So that the database for star kicks in with no problem. -- Dr. Roy F. What Tom and I are looking for is more than a scheduler. ACT! does total contact management from letters and faxes, to charting sales opportunities, etc. Some of these features are kind of "fluffy" and I can live without, but the contact history and links to documents with added comments are crucial. I do appreciate the suggestion, however. Harry G
