I don't know what version of KDE4 you're using (since you STILL haven't told anyone here what you're actually using)... but Settings > Configure Dolphin > Trash has been a part of the standard Dolphin menu in KDE4 for a long time. It's in the KDE4.4.4 release that was shipped with 11.3 (I just checked to make sure)... and is still there in 4.6 (which is what I'm using). If you're using KDE4, then open Dolphin and go to: Settings > Configure Dolphin > Trash
or on version 1.6 : Settings > Configure Dolphin > Wastebin

What version of Dolphin are you using? It works fine with 1.6

In my 11.3 Dolphin 4.4.4-1.5 is installed. How do I get 1.6? Andre -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
I don't think you need Dolphin. If you select the trashbin then beside the icon/applet there will appear FOUR control icons: a square, a circle with an arrow, a spanner and a cross. If by 'enlarge' you mean adjust the size of the icon, then select the square and drag it. If by 'enlarge' you mean adjust the capacity of the trashbin to hold deleted files, then click on the spanner. This will bring up a modal dialogue box titled "Trashcan Settings". (Yes "Can" not "bin") One of the settings is "limit maximum size". You can allow the trashbin to use all of the disk by turning that off. I have mine set to 10% Don't waste time flutzing with Dolphin. -- "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." -- J.K. This only works if the user has placed a Trash widget on the desktop.... it's not there by default.

American English vs British English.... Trashcan is correct by "international English" documentation standards or norms.
Don't waste time flutzing with Dolphin.
Dolphin is in every default install of KDE4.4.4 with openSUSE 11.3... a Desktop widget as you described is not. If you simply open Dolphin and click Settings > Configure Dolphin (or the equivalent if Andre is using the Dutch localization of KDE4) it's pretty simple/easy to select Trash and adjust the size. That's not futzing... that's the best way to describe how to adjust it assuming a default desktop... you cannot assume that the user has added a desktop widget for the Trashcan/bin (although, if they have your steps certainly do work). Then you don't have a default install of KDE4 with openSUSE 11.3. When you install KDE4 (any distro not just openSUSE's version)... you get Dolphin... it is the standard file manager for KDE4. Look at Help in Dolphin. You will see a Dolphin version number. You are referring to the package name, which is not the same. However, Settings / Configure Dolphin / Trash has been in the last many releases. If you are not seeing the File / Edit / View menu, press Ctrl-M to turn it on and then select Settings from that menu. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
