They have been pretty helpful with me. Except very cryptic. I am trying to get this ACPI issue resolved and they don't offer too much information.

Does anyone else find SuSE support to be a waste of time or is it just me.
Out of the 10 or so questions I have mailed, I have only ever had a reply to 1 of them.

Please tell us if they manage to do better support for that price! We sure would like to hear how they do it!

I guess I like SuSE so much is because I rarely contact vedors for support. I usually just read the manual or spend hours educating myself on the matter. ;)

I had a major problem getting started with Linux, and tried to get help from SUSE. In their defense, they were replying daily and were trying to help. The problem was that it took 24 hours to get a response, and I had a 10 minute procedure to try. When I sent the results back, it would be 24 hours before I heard back. I posted the problem here and had a fix about 2 hours later. I like the SUSE release, but I would not be buying it for the support services.

This is one of the best support services you have subscribe to and that is here. Its free, fast, and we last. Soon or later you will get the answer to your question. In the mean time, like the response say above spend some time and educate yourself. Who knows, you just might be able to make some one else happy in giving an answer. And when you have a future problem, just maybe you could get a quick answer also in return. And its not about paying when it comes to supporting each other. One hand washes the other. Just shows you that you get what you pay for. If you DO NOT want to pay for support that is you business, just don't expect the same level of support that one would get if they paid for it. When you pay for support you get better response that when you don't. Ken On Wed, 2003-02-26 at 12:17, emir limar wrote:
