hmm... Normally I would say you're SOL... but,
you can boot a rescue system with the SuSE boot disk/CDs whatever..
Mount your root partition on /mnt or whatever, then edit /mnt/etc/shadow by
hand.

If you are using Lilo, you can type "linux single" at it's prompt and then you'll be able to change root's password.

It's actually `linux init=/bin/sh'. That should get you logged in without password. You can then mount your root partition and change root's password. Don't forget to do a `sync' when finnished.
