Is postfix compiled with MySQL support
Hello, I'm trying to figure out if the version of postfix that comes with SuSE has mysql support compiled in. I'm trying to set up a Postfix Toaster (http://techie.org/Projects/TNMailServer-Full.aspx) And I'm trying to use as many SuSE-supplied packages as possible, rather than compiling every one from the original source like the instructions (on the pages shown). Thanks. -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com

I'm using 9.0 and I had to recompile it for MySQL support. Was easy though. -- Jim Sabatke Hire Me!! - See my resume at http://my.execpc.com/~jsabatke Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup. no, postfix that comes in pro version has no mysql support. but you can get via apt from oxixares repositories the postfix with mysql support; or simply browse the repository: http://www.oxixares.com/apt_en.html Josephine

List the supported map types with /usr/sbin/postconf -m Normally, I'm a big fan of keeping everything in packages that SuSE supplies, but with postfix I'm partial to building from source. The "make upgrade" feature works extremely well, and I prefer to stick with the current version from postfix.org. Version 2.1.5 on the site as compared to 2.0.19 on SuSE. If you must stick with SuSE packages, just get the source package, install it, modify the .spec file to include the required build options, and rebuild it. It's not very difficult, IIRC. :) --Danny
