Hi, I'm testing my first 11.0 installation and finally found available the Export --> PicasaWeb option, BUT it doesn't work. Anybody was lucky to make it work?, there's no error, It asks for credentials, then presents a window where I can choose an Album (none are listed although I know they exist). I tried creating a new one or just uploading the pictures without creating or selecting one, expecting an error, but It stays on "0%". Why not just use Picasa? I installed it on on a ubuntu machine the other day from Googles repository and it worked flawlessly.
Haven't tried it, also, all my albums are stored on Digikam and feel comfortable with it...
But you do know that Picasa finds images regardless of where they are stored? Anywhere on your hard disk if you want, or only specific directories if you set it up that way. You don't have to move your images out of Digikam (which, by the way is not a PLACE that you store images, its an application that accesses images that are stored on the disk, just like Picasa). Further, Picasa allows you to edit images, crop rotate, adjust color, lighting etc, but NEVER touches the original image, and therefore it will not get in a fight with Digikam. All the Picasa changes are un-doable, it keeps a list of adjustments needed in a file. When you are happy with the changes and want to upload it, it uploads (or exports) a new image incorporating all the changes. Your original remains untouched. I have 5 or 6 image programs, some I paid for. But the quickest and most obvious to use is Picasa. Nothing is better for straightening images taken at a slight slant. Really, try it. It makes Digikam look clunky. -- ----------JSA--------- Someone stole my tag line, so now I have this rental. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Bibblepro is very good here. I have used Picasa but work primarily with compressed nefs from my D200 and/or D3 and Picasa does not presently support raw image files.

But Digikam with its sub programs/applications can do much more, it is somewhat clunky. I believe that Bibblepro beats them both hands down, but at a price.
