[SLE] [10.1] yelp needs libgtkmozembed?
I tried to run yelp from my new install of 10.1, and I get this error: yelp: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkembedmoz.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Sure enough, I checked ldd `which yelp` and libgtkmozembed.so is not found, nor can I find a package that provides it. It's not in gecko-sdk or mozilla-xulrunner, as far as I can see. Am I missing something? % rpm -q yelp yelp-2.14.0-20 Thanks, Robby

I have the same problem with a other program. But i compile it from the sourse and give the place where xulrunner is in the ./configure That's working. Something like this: ./configure --with-mozilla_libraries=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.0.4 --with-mozilla_headers=/usr/include/xulrunner-1.8.0.4/gtkembedmoz -- suc6, Gerrit Jan Eldering KDE-versie: 3.5.3 Level "a" Systeem: SUSELinux 10.1 Kernel: 2.6.16.13-4-default -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Sure enough, I checked ldd `which yelp` and libgtkmozembed.so is not found, nor can I find a package that provides it. It's not in gecko-sdk or mozilla-xulrunner, as far as I can see.
It comes with seamonkey-1.0-27.i586.rpm. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEjAk1tTMYHG2NR9URAm6LAJ4lw8tLihoPTQj/5JPRRpeftWfYzACcCdFK Zz5SRF6Ba2jsGSjknXdqxcA= =oFCW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

It comes with seamonkey-1.0-27.i586.rpm.
It also comes with nvu-1.0-21.i586.rpm and mozilla-xulrunner-1.8.0.1-32.i586.rpm, I saw them later: ./CD1/suse/i586/seamonkey-1.0-27.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 101352 May 3 04:17 /usr/lib/seamonkey/libgtkembedmoz.so ./CD1/suse/i586/nvu-1.0-21.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 110240 May 3 03:57 /usr/lib/nvu/libgtkembedmoz.so ./CD1/suse/i586/mozilla-xulrunner-1.8.0.1-32.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 109532 May 3 03:39 /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.0.1/libgtkembedmoz.so - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEjAyetTMYHG2NR9URAknSAKCSjRoQYoZEYVUtMvG5WxLqBzxXuQCeNmkP SiEHXq/N9+6QZenJxPPEctg= =oruK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

./CD1/suse/i586/mozilla-xulrunner-1.8.0.1-32.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 109532 May 3 03:39 /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.0.1/libgtkembedmoz.so
Ah, I see what I did, I mixed up libgtkembedmoz with libgtkmozembed. In any case, yelp does not have, as far as I can see, a dependency on any package that contains libgtkembedmoz.so, so perhaps that's a minor bug. Also, even with seamonkey or mozilla-xulrunner installed, I have to add /usr/lib/seamonkey or /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.0.1 to the /etc/ld.so.conf file for yelp to find the library. So just installing one of those packages doesn't fix the problem. Thanks, Robby
