SuSE 7.3 & mozilla 1.2.1 from pub/projects
Hi, I - downloaded mozilla-1.2.1-0.i386.rpm from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla/1.2.1/7.3-i386/ - uninstalled the old version (rpm -e mozilla-1.1-0) - renamed /opt/mozilla and ~/.mozilla - installed the new version (rpm -i mozilla-1.2.1-0.i386.rpm) - ran SuSEconfig The new mozilla freezes on many web pages. Does anybody use mozilla 1.2.1 from the projects/mozilla/1.2.1/7.3-i386/ directory? Now I see, mozilla 1.2.1 installed on SuSE 8.1 according to http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/mozilla.html freezes too (e.g. on http://www.dn.se/). I don't have time to investigate the problem. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se

Well, the version of Mozilla1.2.1 from usr-local-bin.org doesn't freeze here on 8.1, and nor did the version I had previously downloaded from mozilla.org. Not much help, I know, but it *is* possible. The new mozilla freezes on many web pages.
It seems mozilla was blocked while accessing /dev/dsp. noatun was running and one instance of xmms was probably running too - at least it appeared when I finished noatun. When both noatun and xmms were dead, mozilla-1.1-0 started to work and mozilla-1.2.1 seems to work too. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
Hi all !! I am new in the list and as using. I am needing aid, therefore when the server goes up or low, the services, are made an interruption, opening one shell, and this compromises the security. How to proceed to regularize this probleminha? sh : no job control in this shell sh-2.05# Somebody can help me? Márcia Henke Brazil

I've it quite the opposite. It starts but that's about all. The window is painted, but no text it written. I used to have a theme, but that's is not recognized so mozilla-1.2.1 falls back to its default theme. I re-installed 1.1 and I'm a happy mozilla user again. -- Richard

You could have actually solved your problem by running SuSEconfig after you installed the new Mozilla. It fixes the weird theme/font issue that occurs right after the upgrade. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.

Did you apply the recipe on
http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/mozilla.html?
My problem on SuSE 7.3 is that Mozilla 1.2.1 is blocked on /dev/dsp
when noatun is running:
